I thought I would give you an update on my Op-Shop finds.
This is my latest collection:
My task today is to Re-purpose an Op-shop plate rack – well I think it may be a plate rack.
Does it go this way?
or maybe this way?
No, the rounded edge doesn’t work for a base and look , it still has the price sticker on – $2.00!
Now as you may remember, I have been searching for a plate rack solution for the Motorhome.
So out with some plates for a trial ….
Aww – they don’t go down into the slots enough to be stable …. PJ has already suggested that is it doesnt work as a plate rack that he might use it as a roasting rack! Well, while I’m partial to a yummy roast, I’m sure I can use this some where!!
Wait just a minute – I think I’ve got it!
YES!!! A perfect fit! Now I have a safe, storage system for my new Accuquilt Dies .
Here they are, in my Craft Room, sitting on top of the ice -chest (and don’t tell PJ but there is still room for more dies!)
Well, I’m sorry Poppy John, but your roasts are just lovely without the rack and I obviously NEEDED it!
Don’t you just love it when something works- and you have to LOVE the price tag!
Ok, I confess to being an Op-Shop tragic but I have so much fun searching, finding and re-purposing.
Do you enjoy an Op- shop visit? I would love it if you shared your finds too!
In the mean time, I still have more items to think about!
Until next time
Nanny xx
