I thought today I would show you some more of our makeovers – well, I think of them and PJ makes them over!!
Remember how we sort of ‘ended up’ with my Grandmother’s stuff? Well, this particular piece was thrust upon me with a “I think you really should take this Margie, it’s been in the family ………..” “But I don’t want it thanks ……oh alright, put it in the trailer!”
Then “Oh you’d better have this one too – they sort of go together”!! Grrrrrrr
Then one day we set to and this was the result! Under all that gunk was bamboo and brass!
Here it is today, in pride of place in the entry to our home:
I was trialing both pieces in the entry when I took these photos – I love greenery with the bamboo!
The rectangular piece won the entry spot – the tripod is now in our bedroom!
And just in case you were wondering what was in the frame…
It is a card, sent to me by a beautiful friend when I was going through a ‘tough’ time and it speaks volumes without even reading her message…
It simply states :
“We have shared each other’s gladness
and wept each other’s tears”

Until next time
